The first housing nucleus of Brazil is in Porto Seguro and it’s concentrated in the area also called Historical Center. Set on the top of a cliff over the seashore, the space shelters impressive buildings – such as the Discovery Mark, brought from Portugal by Gonçalo Coellho in 1503, Our Lady of Penha Church (patron saint of the city) and the Casa de Câmara e Cadeia, where Porto Seguro Museum is located, completely restored.
